There are other internet radios where we can experience the sound of FLAC vbr , OPUS, VORBIS and Flac1,400kbps.  I won't name them here but if you find them and play each URL with foobar , you'll find out that OggVorbis and OPUS could become the best codecs for music streaming. 

I've been very surprised by that VORBIS  60-90 VBR format. It has the sound of an AAC 128+.   OPUS at 65kbps VBR  48Kz is very good for the low bitrate but I can imagine what an Opus stream at 320 kbps would be,  wow....!

So we are starting to see more and more Vorbis streams. Ogg Vorbis is used in HTML5 players.  MP3 is fading away slowly but surely I hope, it's garbage... An OggVorbis at 320 kbps has a MUCH better sound than MP3.   For Radio Paradise i use the 320 AAC stream and If you listen to it with Musicbee. you'll get the artwork also.

Now that many people know that the R.P  Flac link exist but we can't access it except with android and IOS, it might be time to try to content the poor souls who don't have access to the Flac stream on windows and replace many of those MP3 link  with a more serious High Bitrate ogg/Vorbis or OPUS.  

 Why keep so many MP3 links......    One thing is sure, if someone is too poor to buy the hardware to decode any other codecs than MP3, he would have plenty of other internet radios that are stuck in the dark ages.    MP3 suck plain and simple.

I  can find the flac stream on my android tablet so could try sending to my streamer through UPnP input. Not so sure that will work but is worth having a try. If I get it sorted, will post here.... The way I got this working was use on older AppleTV device, the one with optical out and connected to my external DAC.  Should connect to a modern amp with a optical input stage (DAC).

  Install the RP app on my Mac desktop app and select Lossless stream quality.  Then redirect the output to the Apple device.  This will work with the phone as well.

I guess with later generation AppleTV you can download the RP App via Siri?   I think with the older AppleTV devices you can't get newly released apps.

Is FLAC coming to internet streaming?  I listen via a Naim UnitiQute2 and since Naim and RP have some kind of deal, the stream has been in 320 kb/s AAC which is a very good quality but lossless FLAC would be even better. 

How about an MQA stream?

I just noticed on the Android RP app the ability to stream and cache using FLAC lossless quality!  Radio Paradise keeps getting better.
