Indeed. Kansas was too good and well coached to not take advantage of our weaknesses the second half. I hate to lose Manek. He is a doozy. I hope Caleb stays. When he's on its lights out for sure. We had them by 15 at the half? Even though we're known to blow a lead, if Caleb had gotten lit up Kansas wouldn't have had a chance. I'm proud of the kids. Congrats Kansas. There's a lot of history for us sewed up with them.
I think that sprained ankle Love suffered early in second half and played through affected him. NC was relying heavily on RJ for offense in second half, although Johnson off the bench contributed unexpected points after Leaky picked up his 4th foul. Remy Martin hitting threes in the second half and just being an active menace also sparked Kansas Self made the necessary adjustments at half. Have to give him credit, which I do begrudgingly because I am not a fan. It was a good spectator game.
Indeed on all points. I think Manek took a pretty hard shot in the face there also, but he seemed to recover well. Overall it was a clean and competitive game...

LOL. I love Hubie. He's going to be great! Caleb Love never really got going. We needed his threes. Our defense was really good. Kansas was good for a comeback in second half and we suffered from a shallow bench and low shot making percentage I think, but I am pleased we went so far. I look forward to beating Duke again next year! Lol
Yeah, they defended Love pretty well - he had very few good looks all game. Losing Bacot at the end didn't help either; he was keeping McCormack pretty quiet most of the game. Manek couldn't defend him as well as Bacot would've on that last bucket.

I totally understand...

Dag nabit. Went down swinging though. Eat it Duke...
Yeah. Congrats Jayhawks - exciting game for sure. Pretty good first season for Hubert Davis I'd say - better than even I expected. They accomplished a lot this year - 8 seed vs. a 1 seed. Spoiling both of K's final games made it even better, though there is at least one person here who apparently sympathizes with that elitist, private school in Durham, and considers it "disrespectful" or "low" to express our contempt for the (now former) coach of that fine institution. Oh, well, it's all good.
