Let me tell you about a little situation
It's been testing my patience, man, she was keeping me up all night
Cause you only get so far reading faces
We were off to the races and I thought to myself hold tight
You see there was just this one complication
She was already taken and what was so wrong felt so right
She said no need to be looking over your shoulder
When you could just come over and we can work this out just fine

I don't know what you want from me
So careless in your company
I will follow what you say is true
There'll be no getting over you
So we're now playing by your rules
If you're a joker then I'm a fool
I guess there's no catching up to you

If you don't want my affection
Don't lie, you're tearing me up
Cause you've got all my attention
I won't lie, you're tearing me up
I'm trying to tell your intention
When you lie, you're tearing me up
If you don't want my affection
You won't mind, you're tearing me up

It all started with a simple conversation
It was on the weekend and she was talking me up all night
Kept asking if I was only faking
She was there for the taking
Showing me that she was all mine
She told me she lived just around the corner
I wanted to know her, yeah, she was making me lose my mind
I didn't know quite what I was chasing
She had my heart racing
And all between it was just one night

I don't know what you want from me
So careless in your company
I will follow what you say is true
There'll be no getting over you
So we're now playing by your rules
If you're a joker then I'm a fool
I guess there's no catching up to you

If you don't want my affection
Don't lie, you're tearing me up
Cause you've got all my attention
I won't lie, you're tearing me up
I'm trying to tell your intention
When you lie, you're tearing me up
If you don't want my affection
You won't mind, you're tearing me up

I don't know what you want from me
So careless in your company
I will follow what you say is true
There'll be no getting over you
So we're now playing by your rules
If you're a joker then I'm a fool
I guess there's no catching up to you

If you don't want my affection
Don't lie, you're tearing me up
Cause you've got all my attention
I won't lie, you're tearing me up
I'm trying to tell your intention
When you lie, you're tearing me up
If you don't want my affection
You won't mind, you're tearing me up

I'm really liking these guys and their brand of music. More, please. :)
Nice groove.
And thanks yet again!
Thanks again William.  So cool.
This song is what finally spurred me to create an account after listening for 20 years.  I have never instantly fallen in absolute love with a song on the first listen the way I did with this one.  Perfect 10.  I can listen to it over and over and not get sick of it.
Seems like a dream
They got me hypnotized

RP so glad I found you!

Good Tune!! I never heard of them before.  Thanx RP!

Theee catchiest track out there. All the posts here are spot on. I listened to this track twice a day every day for all of September. The official youtube video really depicts a males weakness in the presence of a seductress, a married one at that. Bob Moses is going to be on tour across the US in 2022.
Great follow on. REM's Bang & Blame - about Domestic violence - then this one.  Sort of a love song, but also not.  You're  masters at this Bill / Rebecca
Demented lyrics of just another love-song... quite intriguing sounds, though.
WOO HOO!! More amazing Van BC Talent!!
RP = God Like Playlist
Sounds like a little Younger Brother going on here. Not a bad thing.
I just love that burbling bass, how it sets the mood, and how the ominous keyboard playing contrasts delightfully with the silky smooth percussion and vocal arrangements. I think it captures the angst and divergent emotions of the author's pitiable situation perfectly -- and well I know this type of feeling; same as it ever was! It's a masterpiece that only gets deeper and better with each listen!
4 '8's in  a row, including this one..
Deeply enjoying the minimalist house vibe

Same here.  But then, this is no ordinary Californian radio station:  its Radio Paradise and it belongs to the world!

Even while sitting at my desk!

Love this song. Thank you, Bob Moses. Also goes well with feeding a 9 month old Baby somehow. Though I would rather be changing gears on a curvy road in my GTI.

Probably work well for high speed, low level strafing runs down the Knik River from the glacier down to Palmer in the airplane, too.  Need to try that out.

Thanks but no thanks.

I've just watched the official video clip for this cooool modern song and I'm a bit confused. Why is he standing in a glass box with what appears to be some sort of ginormous electronic device in it? I shudder to think of the purpose of the huge probe that he's holding to his head...

Yeah, my thoughts as well..I was thinking Bob Welch before I looked it up..  excellent..
Iconic- I will never tire of hearing this- such a rich sound. Snappy indeed.
I like Bob Moses, his intros and base composition always catch my attention, the lyrics always seem redundant though
7 > 8  Does anybody else get a Steve Miller vibe?
This song just describes groove.

I get more of a Gary Glitter Rock & Roll vibe, but otherwise feel the same.

Live the grove. Great lyrics.  I've been there a few times in my youth...captures it perfectly.
This has brought a Chris Cornell tune to mind but, I can't quite place which one...
This one went straight to an " 8" on first hearing - it's just got what I like - that's all!
early Fleetwood Mac vibes, nice.
Not enough electronic music here...
Realized I need to up my monthly contribution to RP, cause, OMG.
Opening rythym like I.G.Y. but never heard a sax line. Song seems alright but left me wanting Fagan melody and vocals.

Perhaps a distant cousin, but just about everyone here has heard Tommy James' "Draggin' The Line" thousands of times by now; I know I have.  The "pulsating" bass line technique long-preceded that song.
Holy Moses what a cool song!
Smoooooooooooth.

This sounds like something I would have heard in the late 70s on WLS AM in Chicago.
I'm hearing Coldplay... !!?
Smooth, melodic, gentle electronica vibe, cool cover.  Veddy Nice!!
Haha! Prophet followed by Moses.
For me this is  a STRONG 7 - Quite Likeable
yes most excellent    : )

I'm liking  this a lot !      :o)        Connecticut

This sounds like a lost Steve Miller track.

The voice, yes—if Steve suddenly decided to play it cool, detached and downbeat. But his music is brighter, cheerier and less trance-y.
 That's weird, because I don't hear a single acoustic instrument. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Moses_(band)

Drummer put too many pillows in the bass drum - sounds too 'dead' and the bass guitar is almost subsonic. Its somebody's decision to do that for the studio recording and although that kind of thing can work in certain circumstances I think it upsets the balance of this particular song.
