Well let's leave it as is and you can keep August. No need for any added pressure in life. Lazy will have to let his marinate a bit longer.

Is this a follow- up of Lazy Marty’s Songbird CD of a few back? Nice one here.
How is it we can all seem to find songs nobody has heard before?

Act Natural- Margaret Glaspy: Nice little rocker. I like this one. And I’ve never heard of her before.

In The Pines- Adia Victoria: A Leadbelly cover? Thanks for that note Marty. Not a fan of the Blues, but I like this
version. Not so depressing. And I’ve never heard of her before.

The Story- Brandi Carlile: Is this considered her hit? I’ve heard this played before and it is a memorable song for me.

Under Streetlights- Brooke Annibale: Very tasty. And I’ve never heard of her before.

Do You Remember? – Cumulus: Oh! Power Poppy! Sounds like the Sundays. A sound I like a lot and named after a cloud. How could you not like this? And I’ve never heard of her/ them before.

Twisted Highway- Erika Wennerstrom: A big, full sound. Another gem for me. And I’ve never heard of her befor

From Dusk To Dawn– Fever Dolls: Did I hear a banjo? Maybe? I like the folkiness of this cut.

Peach Plum Pear- Joanna Newsom: Harpsichord! Rock on! Is that a children’s chorus backing her up? Or just her voice layered upon layer? Hard to tell. Very different. And I’ve never heard of her before.

My Love Mine All Mine- Mitski: Nice one. And I’ve heard of her before.

One Day- Sharon Van Etten: I really like Sharon. And this is my favorite song here. I already have this one on my playlist. Ironically, I discovered her here on Radio Paradise and this song is on the playlist here too.

Great stuff. And thank you for your work.
I have to agree with Mr. Eight... I enjoyed this mix and will continue to spin this disc.

On my third? Fourth? listen to this. Terrific mix! Highlights for me:

Margaret Glaspy and Adia Victoria are both new to me, and both were pretty compelling, but Victoria's...take? Interpretation? Remix? Extension? Whatever...of the Leadbelly classic really got my attention. More of this!

That's some rockin' Brandi Carlisle right there.  Not what I'm used to from her, but I like it.

Brooke Annibale—another new to me, but super strong. The arrangement is really spare and strong.

.Carina Round—this would fit right in on a Luscious Jackson album. OK, maybe a little spare and simple for them, but...damn tasty.

Esme Patterson—kinda dreamlike and trippy.

Joanna Newsom—her voice is strong medicine, but I'm getting a taste for it. And how often do you hear a harpsichord on a modern piece of music anymore?

Gaelynn Lea—Joanna Newsom again? No? Hmmm.. Fine fiddle there too.

Martina Topley Bird—more dreamy stuff.

Rosali—had to check this wasn't Aimee Mann. very fine.

Not a single song on this I didn't like. As always, impressed with your taste! This disc will get a few more spins.
