I remember. Had to look up this part- They lost to Florida State in the ACC tourney in '09 but beat Duke home and away that year, so there's that. Ranked 2nd in the country going in and was number 1 seed in the South bracket.
I met the Dean when I was a boy. It was a Royal Ambassadors (I washed out) dinner and he was the keynote speaker.. My old pop went with me and I remember him chiding me (Pop, not Coach Smith lol) for eating too much fried chicken lol. I always ate too much fried chicken. 1967 maybe. Somewhere in there. I miss my old Pop man. But I have to laugh when I think about him sometimes. He was a different kind of cat for sure.
Anyway, back to basketball. Of course I'm a begrudging root for Duke because that's who Pop liked but more 'cause I'm a North Carolinian dag nabit!
Very complete. They won the ACC tournament without Cooper Flagg.
Those 3 freshman starters are all NBA players; at least two of them will be lottery picks.
I think it's worth pointing out that Rutgers has 2 freshman that will be lottery picks (expected to be 2 and 3 after Flagg), and they sucked ass this year. Very hot and cold... which I blame on...
Coaching is critical.
Scheyer (Duke - 35) is half the age of Kevin Sampson. We'll see if the old guys (Sampson and Pearl - 65) can outcoach the young guys (Scheyer and Golden - 39).

My son wanted to come up from Jersey for the parade but couldn't swing the day off. I've never seen one of these live, would be a cool experience. I did see the Bruins celebrate the Cup in Fenway the year they won. They drove the duck boats around the perimeter of the park before taking the cup out to the pitchers mound. Now that was a sight to see.
We are very lucky and privileged to have the teams that we have and the name Title Town. Explore
Duck Boats! Iâll be watching from the comfort of my couch. Couldânt pay me to stand in a crowd like that.

He and I will be solar eclipse camping on Lake Ontario in upstate NY on April 8. That's the night of the NCAA Championship game. But one game at a time...
That's very cool man. I envy that in a really good way. And, speaking of Duke, I think it's awesome that outside the borders that my home state is so well represented with teams and fans alike at this time of year. The rivalry stuff is just an argument among neighbors about who has the most banners hanging in the rafters. Hopefully it will never be settled. Begrudging respect is better than none at all. Hard won, it is. And by the way, wear your sunblock to the sunblock. It would be an irony for no illuminating reason at all. Art for the sake of art.
Dang the disappointment. Pulling for Clemson is almost as bad as those other guys. Besides, they're from South Carolina! shew! State is on a roll and have a really cohesive team. It's not so much of a stretch to root for them. It'll be fun to watch them dismantle the dookies. The spirit of Jimmy V lives! Much respect!
Yeah, it's rare I would root for Clemson but I want The Crimson Tide to lose. I don't want to see Rick Barnes win either. Odd, Alabama vs Clemson seems more like a football bowl game line-up. Honestly, I don't think anyone can beat Connecticut this year.
I agree. Vengeance is just critical thinking when it comes to college basketball. lol. As for that guy, he's an old enemy I can't forgive for past indiscretions nor for being a native lol. I'm not trying to hear that! lol
