None of this is the fault of the royal family.

If democracy is imperfect but the least worst of all the political systems, then perhaps a constitutional monarchy is far from perfect but not as bad as a presidential system that combines head of state and head of government into the same inevitably partisan individual.

I will gladly take King Charles and the Royal British family over a presidential system.

We know he is a man who married a “brood mare” to produce offspring while he continued an affair with a married woman, someone who has never done a proper day’s work in his life but because of inherited wealth that, unlike the rest of us, isn’t taxed, is probably the richest man in the country, a man who, as did his mother, can and has interfered with our democratic system to his own personal benefit. He is a man with the financial resources and political power if not to solve the UK’s perennial poverty problem then certainly to ameliorate it, but hasn’t and wont. He is a man who takes from society rather than giving yet we are expected to and some do look up to him as some super-being to be revered simply because of an accident of birth.Nonsense. He can Get To Fuck!!

What kind o' monarch is this new king goin' tae be? We dinnae ken! It's all up in the air, like a swarm o' midges on a hot summer day. The crown should be earned, no' handed tae some bairn just because he was born intae the right family.

And what aboot the Scots, eh? We've been oppressed by the English for centuries. They come oot o' the woodwork every time they want tae squeeze us for more taxes or send their soldiers tae march ower our heather-covered hills. And now we're expected tae bow doon tae this new king and swear our loyalty tae him? It's enough tae make yer blood boil!

And what aboot the wee lass who was next in line for the throne? She was trained for the job, prepared for it her entire life. And yet, because she's a woman, she's passed ower in favour o' this new king. It's a disgrace, plain and simple.

I'll tell ye, there's a storm brewin' in the Highlands. The people are restless and they're no' happy aboot this coronation. It's time for a change, time for the Scots tae stand up and demand our rightful place in this kingdom. We're no' gonnae be pushed around any longer.

So mark my words, this coronation may happen tomorrow, but the Scots will no' forget it. We'll bide our time and we'll strike when the moment is right. And when we do, ye can be sure that the English will ken they've met their match in the Scots.
