I've been here (mostly lurking, rarely posting!) since '06, and I'm not sure about these either. By themselves the endorsements are fun/charming, but I find they pull me out of my RP reverie in a way that the previous "Thanks for your support" messages didn't.
Please stop the on-air user messages saying they love RP! We know. That's why we are listening!! These messages sound just like commercials which is what I think RP is trying to avoid and is why I'm happy to send my support$$. Please please stop this!!

I've listened to and supported RP for more than a decade. I don't need or want to hear other voices telling me something I already know - you provide a valuable and enjoyable service. I also know as presenters you want to hear from and connect to your audience, but please find a way that doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of your product. PLEASE STOP !
IMO, anything 'airing' must be 'good radio'. It can't be jarring to the experience. In 2023, I still hear 'bad radio' happening on traditional, new & social media.
That said, I haven't heard these endorsements yet, as I'm new here. Sort of. Having some knowledge of the quality & past tone of RP, I'm assuming these endorsements are not what I would term 'bad radio'.

I remember years ago when William said he averaged .45 minutes per hour (under 30 seconds) of mic time. If we're way up over that, I haven't noticed. But it could definitely be distracting to have a strange voice doing those few seconds. Will try to pay closer attention before making further pronouncements ;-)

I agree with the sentiment of the endorsements, but agree with this message. Please stop.
