I had a different take on it.  I thought they came out looking like normal people in an abnormal life.  You could meet worse people with bigger egos and problems in any conference room or store.  I'm not a metal fan really but I think their music is very empowering and to the degree it's political I agree.  I find it oddly comforting.  A lot of bands are really cry babies about women, which they aren't.  I think that as the riff raff clears their music will stick around a long time.

Hetfield is a dick, Lars is an egomaniac who thinks way too highly of himself and the guitarist (who musically is the only one I like in the band) is a space cadet! Musically I never understood what everyone sees in them, then again I am not a big metal fan. Ironically  I thought they did pretty good ballads though, Unforgiven and that Justice song are pretty good and of course One is outstanding but other than that snoozefest city.

I saw this last night, started watching Metallica videos and had a dream about Hetfield.  His wife was getting plastic surgery.  We were on a big old houseboat and it seemed like we all lived there or something.  It was one of those long dreams but I don't remember much.
