Interesting that they got Natalie Merchant to sing that one with them, like on the record. That's one of the handful of post-10,000 Maniacs songs she sings where I actually enjoy her voice.
There are other videos with Nora Guthrie, and about 100 extended family come on for This Land is Your Land. Pretty cool, would have liked to have been there.
After 30 years, give or take, Wilco and Billy Bragg finally did a full set of Mermaid Avenue. I hope they recorded it and will release a cleaner video of it, and this feels slower, but still, pretty cool (if you were a fan to begin with)
NB: I did see Wilco backing Billy Bragg in the 90s, they were supposed to be playing later in the evening but Billy wanted to catch a World Cup game so they played before noon.
