I was 25 that year and couldn't listen to most of the new music. Don't recall hearing this. And I'm thankful for that.

I find Manfred Manns version a lot more attractive to listen to. Can't say why but it sounds more serious.

Yes, the Divinyls were definitely a big part of the whole '80s Experience. Distinctive voice; a bit like Marianne F and Cyndi L, but better!

Sad, just checked Wikipedia to check up on this band. Found out the sad ending to Chrissy:

 "Aged 53 years, Amphlett died on 21 April 2013 at her home in New York City, USA, after a protracted battle with breast cancer. Amphlett had been unable to receive radiation or chemotherapy treatment for the cancer because she concurrently suffered from multiple sclerosis."

I had the opportunity to see this band twice in Denver, once at the Rainbow Music Hall. Outstanding band in concert! I got to meet the band the second time I saw them and partied with them at the hotel.
