It's always a decision; which channel today should I listen to? Loving them all; what great curation. Take a watch on youtube; Music was Never Meant to be an Algorithm! Thanks, RP!!!

I am digging the tunes from Portico Quartet and GoGo Penguin! I have listened a bit to Beyond, but I think their true brilliance for me is when it is intertwined with other songs on the Main mix. They just give off more of their flavour, sort of.

An insightful observation and I completely agree.

Just experienced the smoothest transition from 'Smells like teen spirit' to this track. It's magic! Thank you RP!

I just finished watching 'The Sorcerer' (1977) and then came here and 'A Luminous Beam' goes so well with the vibe retained by that movie which Bob Dylan painted a couple of scenes from (by the way)

I love that, even after the launch of Beyond, this tune still plays on the Main Mix and, even more, that today it followed Smells Like Teen Spirit. Where else but RP.

I'm a long time Portico Quartet fan. If you like this then I highly recommend Ruins (from the album Portico Quartet) and Endless (from this album).  Also, this fabulous live performance. Portico Quartet - Art In The Age Of Automation | LIVE | Red Bull Music

Portico Quartet has been around a long time.  I first discovered them on ... Pandora ... of all places.  They featured multiple steel drums in their earlier incarnation, and they had a lot of YouTube videos of them performing in the studio, each person in their own separate room, listening to each other with headphones.  I really dug them then, and I still dig them now.

Anyone else catch a bit of Suzanne Vega (Tom's Diner) in the saxophone riffs?

No, you need to get better speakers.

Yes, William, please consider a jazz/fusion/instr mix.

Ooooh, I like it!!

Is this another tease for a new Jazz Mix?

Edit: Well, William’s postscript confirms it’s a taster for a new channel as yet unnamed. I don’t care what it’s called if it’s this tasty.

Same here!  And as a proponent for the Jazz/Blues channel for years now, I fully support that possibility!  As William also noted, I'll now need to find the test link in the RP forum which I rarely visit since song comments are more my style, to be able to hear the new channel as a beta tester or early adopter really makes my day.  Long Live RP, for ever!!
