Wow! It's been a while since I first heard that tune. Had to fight for position with Blues, Birds, Troggs, Stones and Beatles, And a few others.

One thing that Tejanos and rednecks, hippies and punks all agreed on was that Doug Sahm and the Sir Douglas Quintet rocked! This is their best known and most beloved hit, preferable even to the well-intentioned cover by Los Lobos. More Texas rock 'n' roll!
