Sadly, the lack of comments here would seem to confirm your view. She's one of my very favourite artists and I don't care what anybody else thinks!
I’ve heard Sunny Came Home, of course, though not often and not in a while. Otherwise my knowledge of Shawn Colvin is from the many covers that seem to be in rotation on the Main Mix. I suppose they give a narrow view of her work and talent, and there’s definitely a couple of them where I prefer someone else’s cover of the same tune. (I do love a good/interesting cover). All that to say, it’s nice to hear an original from her that isn’t Sunny. Hope to hear more.

My favourite tracks are "The Truth About Jimmy" and "Trouble". The latter has quite profound lyrics.
Nice tune.

Some artists, Ms. Colvin included, seem to get pigeonholed for one super popular radio-friendly song, (Sunny came home) instead of looked upon for their whole body of work. It's sad people overlook the rest of the songs she has. Alas, most will only remember her for a pixie haircut and Lilith Fair.

She was at Lilith?
